Bilingual Book Club

Every month we pick a text by an Argentine woman writer, in Spanish and with a great English translation, and meet at a cafe in Buenos Aires to talk about it. If you want to get back into reading but never find the time, this is for you.

It blends poetry, botanical observation and art photography, capturing both the natural beauty of the trees and their cultural and symbolic weight in the Buenos Aires cityscape. We'll use it as our field guide during a short guided walk through the park, reading the trees before we sit to chat about our second book.

"Las Gemelas, El Sueño"

his book is a conversation between the US and Argentina, the Paraná and the Klamath, Diana Bellessi and Ursula K. Le Guin. Translations going both ways. Translation as an act of love.
